If someone has done everything right, they should be able to move on.

Right now, thousands of people on federal supervision are still under heavy government supervision long after they’ve proven they’re working, stable, and low risk.

They got the job.
They finished the program.
They stayed out of trouble.
They rebuilt their lives.
But the federal supervision system still won’t let them move on.

There’s a whole laundry list of rules: travel restrictions, curfew restrictions, nonstop check-ins, and monthly fees. Just one slip-up can send you back to prison even if you haven’t committed a new crime.

That’s not accountability.
That’s a system that prevents progress.

The federal supervision system has more than tripled since the 90s. It’s bloated. Officers are overloaded. And people who’ve already shown growth are still dealing with restrictions that mess with travel, work, and stability.

The Safer Supervision Act is the fix. It will:

✔️ Focus supervision on people who actually pose a risk
✔️ Create real pathways forward for people who’ve demonstrated success
✔️ Strengthen families and workforce participation
✔️ Use public safety resources where they matter most

Gen Z isn’t anti-accountability.
We just think progress should count.

Congress can update federal supervision so it actually makes sense in 2026.
